While markets begin to open up and some restaurants re-open doors to smaller crowds, the impact of COVID-19 on the restaurant and bartending community will take a long time to fully recover. That’s why, since March, Bacardi launched the #RaiseYourSpirits program to show love for the bar teams with a $4 million pledge and programs that put the spotlight on bartenders.
Now, consumers can join the #RaiseYourSpirits efforts by showing and wearing their appreciation on their sleeves. Casa BACARDÍ, the brand home and visitor center for the world’s most awarded rum, has launched a range of #RaiseYourSpirits t-shirts, available for purchase online. 100% of profits from the T-shirt sales will be donated to support bartenders, in partnership with the USBG National Charity Foundation. Profits from the t-shirt sales will fund grants to bartenders across the United States, including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The T-shirts are priced at $25 each and are available in the three colors associated with the BACARDÍ rum logo – red, black and white.
Bacardi selected Puerto Rico based startup TeeChealo to produce the T-shirts. Teechealo started as a small “pop-up” store in Santurce that suffered losses during the flooding from Hurricane Maria. However, it persevered and went on to win first place in the 14th edition of the EnterPRize business competition held by Grupo Guayacán that is dedicated to advancing Puerto Rico’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
“We love that we were able to work with a local startup like TeeChealo on this charitable campaign.” said Wesley Elizabeth Cullen, General Manager of CASA BACARDÍ. “Bars and bartenders are the backbone of our business and have helped our brands grow. We are committed to supporting them through our #RaiseYourSpirits efforts during this time of recovery.”
The T-shirts can be purchased online on the CASA BACARDÍ website.
Shipping is free within the U.S.
